How to Apply for Your Newborn Baby’s Passport in the UAE

5th December 2025

For expatriate families living in the UAE, one of the first essential tasks after welcoming your newborn is arranging their passport.

This is a key step that allows you to complete your baby’s UAE residency, plan international travel, and ensure your documents remain fully compliant with local regulations.

At Luxe Incorporations, we proudly support thousands of expat families with government documentation, visa processing, and embassy services across the UAE. To make life easier during this busy time, we’ve created a clear, step-by-step guide on how to obtain your newborn baby’s passport  – quickly, simply, and without stress.

Step 1: Obtain Your Baby’s UAE Birth Certificate

Before any embassy can issue a passport, you must complete the UAE birth documentation process.

Receive the Birth Notification

The hospital issues this immediately after birth. This document is the foundation for all further applications.
